In this role, you will collaborate with business units across multiple locations to deliver high?value HR solutions, support employee engagement, improve performance, and help shape a positive, growth?focused culture.

Founded in 1919, Quinn Company sells, services, and rents a full line of construction, agricultural, and material?handling equipment, as well as diesel and natural gas engines. Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $85,000 – $115,000

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Provide Strategic HR Guidance: Coach managers on employee relations, performance issues, and policy interpretation to ensure decisions align with company values and employment law.
  • Conduct Investigations: Perform and document investigations; recommend corrective actions, performance steps, or development strategies.
  • Partner With Business Units: Align HR strategies with Quinn’s business goals and proactively support workforce planning, retention, and employee development.
  • Maintain Legal Compliance: Ensure HR practices meet legal and regulatory requirements related to reporting, employment laws, and company policies.
  • Lead Employee Engagement Efforts: Administer the Employee Opinion Survey, present results, and assist managers with action planning.
  • Facilitate New Hire Onboarding: Conduct new hire orientations and reinforce company culture, values, and expectations.
  • Utilize HRIS Effectively: Maintain accurate HRIS records, produce reports, and support data?driven decision?making.
  • Oversee Employee Transactions: Ensure accuracy and compliance for hires, promotions, terminations, transfers, performance reviews, and government reporting.
  • Coach Leadership: Guide managers on interviewing, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, HRIS tools, safety protocols, and harassment prevention.
  • Conduct Exit Interviews: Document reasons for turnover and identify trends for improvement.
  • Lead HR Projects: Support or lead initiatives such as job description updates, audits, HRIS enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Promote Quinn Values: Demonstrate and reinforce Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Quality, and Service in all interactions.

 

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four?year college or university
  • Five+ years of related HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience with HR investigations, employee relations, and performance management
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage projects, influence leaders, and build strong partnerships across the organization
