The Sales Inventory Analyst analyzes inventory status, assisting sales management with sales inventory decisions, and functions as “salesman advocate” in problem solving in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”
Pay Rate: $56,483.95 - $72,925.75 Annually
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
Essential Functions:

- Responsible for coordinating dealer trades with other Caterpillar dealers
- Reviews reservation reports for accuracy
- Acts as DBS/EMS coordinator
- Receives all CAT e-mail communications and forwards to appropriate personnel
- Supports sales management via analysis on special projects as needed
- Attends monthly inventory meetings with sales management
- Communicates with accounting on EMS issues
- Manages the inventory by reviewing aging inventory, making decisions on excess or short positions, and disposes of slow-moving inventory
- Is responsible for equipment package configurations, and pricing
- Is responsible for back up and support for the Prime Product Order Specialist
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of purchasing and inventory management experience preferred
- 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 1+ years customer service experience
Physical Demands & Competencies:
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
- Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
- Safety & Product Knowledge
- Accounting Skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Work Environment:
- Noise: Quiet
- Indoors
