Energy Rental Driver
Description
The Energy Rental Driver’s main priority is to transport Ohio Machinery Energy Rental equipment to and from customers and/or other locations via rollback truck As a team member of the Energy Rental department, the our Drivers play a critical part of making sure customer have the equipment that they need, on time.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifies notes on iPhone and follow delivery and pick up instructions
- Attempts to contact the customer by phone or text and leave a voicemail, when necessary, before delivery or pick-up.
- Notifies Rental Sales Administrator manager of late deliveries or any other relevant issues.
- Adheres to employee CDL driving policies.
- Ensures the Department of Transportation (DOT) elog completely compliant.
- Completes driver’s daily inspection reports before the first run every morning.
- Wears appropriate dress code attire, including high visibility shirts and work boots.
- Adheres to the Driver Vehicle Care expectations policies.
- Interacts with Rental Sales Administrator manager throughout the day to support changing demand for equipment regularly.
- Delivers and picks up Energy Rental equipment.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- A clean driving record as required by Ohio CAT Safety standards.
- Class “A” CDL license and a current Medical Certification Card (acquired by the time of appointment) are required.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to maintain a professional image and behavior.
- Ability to provide superior customer service.
- Knowledge of electronic logbooks is required.
- Attention to detail, quick reaction times, and situational awareness while driving and operating equipment are required.
A strong working knowledge of all rental equipment is preferred. - Must be able to remain professional with language and tone and demonstrate high levels of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Driver should be open-minded, focused on customer needs, cooperative and able to work with a team, and flexible.
Desire to approach learning and training as an ongoing, career-long process.
