- Act as a technical ambassador: answer customer questions, provide insight on repairs, and represent Puckett with professionalism and expertise.
- Maintain all vehicle logs, DOT documentation, and comply with transportation and safety regulations.
- Keep your assigned service truck clean, well-maintained, and ready to roll.
- Stay up to date on tools, technologies, and industry best practices to deliver top-tier service every time.
What You Bring to the Role:
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical training or military mechanical experience preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience, preferably with Caterpillar or competitive heavy equipment.
- 2+ years of experience in a field service environment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics.
- Basic welding and cutting skills a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform accurate troubleshooting.
- Class D driver’s license and DOT medical card or the ability to obtain upon hire or within agreed timeframe
- Clean MVR required.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and ability to work in compliance with all safety and transport standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, often 8–12 hour shifts, with overtime and emergency calls as needed.
- Must provide a personal set of hand tools (wrenches, sockets, drives, etc.).
