Fleet Administrator

The Fleet Administrator is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the organization's motor vehicles, including purchasing and remarketing. Manages outside vendor and service provider relationships and fleet maintenance programs, practices and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Responsible for standardizing the fleet to streamline vehicle purchases and remarketing.
- Monitor and ensure fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
- Develop, lead and implement sourcing initiatives to reduce cost and provide year-on-year cost and quality improvements for Fleet and Vehicle Commodities areas.
- Develop and maintain a base of qualified vendors that meet vehicle commodity needs and organizational goals.
- Monitor fuel purchase system (Fuel Cards) for all vehicles and drivers.
- Responsible for integrating vehicle data with accurate driver assignments and cost allocations.
- Responsible for the IRP fleet vehicle registrations, renewals, and reports.
- Balance and submit for payment lease and service billings.
- Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
- Coordinate relevant vehicle information and assist in resolving any Safety, EH&S, Risk Management, Assets, and DOT issues that may arise.
- Other duties may be assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Associates Degree in Business, Materials Management, or Technical discipline.
- Two years experience in fleet, purchasing, or relevant technical/analytical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills with programs such as Word for Windows, Lotus, Excel, Power Point, etc. are required.
