JOB SUMMARY:
Solicit payment of past due invoices in Ohio Machinery's accounts receivable system in a positive, customer-sensitive fashion. Customer service activities include answering questions about invoices, payments, and billing statements. Approve the release of orders for over-the-limit accounts. Evaluate and recommend customer credit limits to support sales volume.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Familiar with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchase order systems.
- Collection experience necessary.
- Construction project and/or electrical contractor experience preferred but not required.
- PC skills include Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, mathematical, telephone, and analytical skills required.

- Good Listening Skills: Able to calm customers when needed and display a sense of understanding.
- Credit Skills; Able to assist in establishing and maintaining credit limits.
- Accounting Skills: Able to learn account receivables data information systems and interpret others’ work on the system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and the abilities to exchange information both verbally as well as through written communication as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
