Summary: 
The Accounting Specialist reports under the supervision of the Accounting Manager and performs clerical duties in support of the Accounting department. The Accountant Specialist completes tasks in compliance with corporate, state, federal, and local regulations, and procedures. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Enters vendor invoices into CODA and Avid promptly and accurately. 
  • Organizes daily mail and posts specific vendor invoices to CODA.
  • Scans and approves utility invoices in Avid and matches with CODA payments.
  • Compiles and maintains spreadsheets for Claas. 
  • Reconciles monthly statements and Monthly settlements for Claas.
  • Reconciles Caterpillar parts statement monthly. 
  • Assists Accounting Managers and Accountants with various tasks and projects. 
  • Scans customer tax exemption forms.
  • Completes daily cash deposits. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Two to three years of accounting experience is preferred. 
  • Must have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, a general understanding of accounting software specific to accounting, and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, time-conscious, focused, able to multitask, and committed to customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
