The Accounting Specialist reports under the supervision of the Accounting Manager and performs clerical duties in support of the Accounting department. The Accountant Specialist completes tasks in compliance with corporate, state, federal, and local regulations, and procedures.
- Enters vendor invoices into CODA and Avid promptly and accurately.
- Organizes daily mail and posts specific vendor invoices to CODA.
- Scans and approves utility invoices in Avid and matches with CODA payments.
- Compiles and maintains spreadsheets for Claas.
- Reconciles monthly statements and Monthly settlements for Claas.
- Reconciles Caterpillar parts statement monthly.
- Assists Accounting Managers and Accountants with various tasks and projects.
- Scans customer tax exemption forms.
- Completes daily cash deposits.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
- Two to three years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Must have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, a general understanding of accounting software specific to accounting, and strong organizational skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, time-conscious, focused, able to multitask, and committed to customer satisfaction.
