HOURS: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm

Job Summary:

As a Welder at Complete Hydraulic Service, you will play a big part in holding the world together! Duties for this position will include welding various types of metal (steel, aluminum, cast iron, etc.) and various welding processes (ARC and MIG) per instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including horizontal saws, overhead cranes, forklifts and other related equipment & tooling. 

  • Measures assembled and disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders and pressure vessels.
  • Compare disassembled components against the original manufacturer's specifications.
  • Recommend proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.
  • Completes work in the shop.
  • Completes work with a machinist at times.

 

COMPETENCIES: 

  • Must have proven welding capabilities for various types of metals, and with various processes.
  • Must be familiar with machine tooling.
  • Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments. 
  • Requires exercising good judgment and utilizing best machining practices. Requires attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of welding experience is desired, preferably in the analysis and repair of hydraulic cylinder and pressure vessel failures and recommendation of repairs. Previous experience with the repair of hydraulic components strongly desired.
  • Skills: Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicators.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull
  • Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Dexterity Normal
  • Frequent standing/sitting up and down stairs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
