FULL SUMMARY
The Construction Technology Support Specialist’s role focuses on providing training and support for clients using Cat and Trimble technology solutions, including developing tailored training plans and managing training schedules. It involves conducting system diagnostics, reviewing software updates, and offering remote support. Additionally, the position requires staying updated on new products, developing demonstration tools, and supporting sales staff with technical expertise during client presentations.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Advanced computer and technology skills required. Must be able to utilize and understand CAD software along with Microsoft office application.
- Strong critical thinker with the ability to communicate complex items.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Ability to present to a group of people and teach complex topics.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Consistent attendance and timeliness.
- Working within and promoting Western States’ purpose, vision and values.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar industry experience, preferred.
- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience utilizing and supporting GPS construction technology or similar.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
This role is designated as safety sensitive.
