About the Role

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service and support to WesTrac and our customers. This is your opportunity to enhance your skills in powertrain overhauls, machine dismantling and rebuilds, undercarriage repairs, and radiator repairs—all within our all-in-one branch.

Roster: 5 nights on, 2 days off (10-hour shifts plus 30-minute break) or 5 days on 2 days off (10-hour shifts plus 30-minute break)

What You’ll Do

• Complete rebuilds and overhauls on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment and non-Caterpillar machinery.
• Perform machine dismantling, undercarriage repairs, and radiator repairs.
• Strictly adhere to WesTrac’s safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard reporting.

Skills and Experience 

• Australian-recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate.
• OR Australian-recognised Light Vehicle or Heavy Commercial Trade Certificate with CAT experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good understanding of service reporting and service literature.
• Heavy equipment product knowledge with component change-out and overhaul experience (desired).
