Generator Technician / Mechanic
- Hourly Base Rate: $24.00 - $31.21 / hour
- Perform disassembly, assembly, and testing of generator components.
- Use resistive load bank equipment for generator testing and repairs.
- Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on power generation assemblies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, providing minor repair on gensets.
- Be flexible to work overtime as needed and respond to after-hours calls.
- Travel for training and support at other locations as required.
- Possesses basic mechanical knowledge, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics systems.
- Skilled with hand tools, air tools, precision measuring instruments, diagnostic software, and rigging equipment.
- Capable of reading and understanding specifications, service and parts literature, and technical bulletins.
- Experience using material handling equipment such as large forklifts and telehandlers.
- An Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year technical school.
- Experience in assembly/disassembly within relevant industries.
- A stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
