Oil Lab Technician 1
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the company mission statement by processing fluid samples in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner in order to properly diagnose mechanical problems and failures.
Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Register, setup, and monitor fluid samples for daily metal detection in an efficient and organized manner.
- Perform physical testing and analysis of daily fluid samples utilizing laboratory equipment such as Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers, GC, FTIR, particle counter, viscometers etc.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of lab practices, procedures, equipment, and clerical techniques.
- Knowledge of techniques and methods of research and data collection.
- Knowledge of record keeping procedures and practices.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude to utilize various MS Office products, DBS, Intranet, and other job-related software.
- Excellent verbal, written, and communications skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with customers, employees, team members, and management.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional.
- Ability to operate office machines and computers.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a diversified team.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of job-related experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional specialized/technical training required.

- None
Travel:
- Travel up to 10% may be expected.
