As a Local Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in connecting customers with their essential equipment, ensuring safe and timely deliveries and pickups, and providing exceptional customer service.
What You Will Do in This Role:
- Safely operate, load, and unload machines for transport, ensuring the highest level of care is taken during transportation.
- Deliver and pick up equipment to local customers, guaranteeing prompt and efficient service.
- Clearly and professionally communicate delivery and pick up times with customers.
- Follow company policies and adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, prioritizing safety at all times.
- Perform all tasks with high attention to safety and detail.
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses excellent organizational and communications skills.
- Exhibits a positive attitude with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Holds a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize safety while meeting deadlines.
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Previous experience hauling heavy machinery, showcasing a solid understanding of transportation requirements.
- Knowledge of construction equipment size, weight, and operation, enabling safe and efficient loading and unloading.
- Strong understanding and compliance of DOT regulations.
- Computer experience and the ability to learn new software.
