- Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on all systems
- Repair or replace parts as required within the defined expectations of the task
- Order replacement parts and services in a manner that promotes efficiency and effectiveness
- Test and verify correct operation of all maintenance repairs and adjustments
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers on their maintenance and repairs.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads, available for after-hours calls as needed
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
- Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred)
- Preferred forklift experience
- Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
- Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain Class A within 3 months of employment
- Ability to drive and valid CDL license required
- Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry
- Stable work history
- Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement
- Caterpillar experience a plus
