ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·         Develop/maintain relationship with customers

·         Identify and evaluate customer needs as they relate to company’s products

·         Handle all aspects of rental and sales transactions

·         Quote and sell new and used equipment

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

  • Effectively represent the company in appearance, attitude and work habits
  • Reach out to customers and potential customers
  • Establish relationships with customers
  • Work with the collections department in assisting customers in keeping accounts current
  • Develop a database of customer, company, and project information

·         Occasional travel other company facilities, customer offices and/or job sites

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers’ license (driving record must meet company insurance standards; driving record is reviewed annually)
  • Successful sales experience
  • Heavy equipment industry experience
  • Knowledge of equipment operation, application, selection, maintenance and repair
  • Able to work effectively with others, both inside and outside the company
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Basic selling skills (communication, questioning, listening, call planning, etc.)
  • Able to operate equipment
  • Able to organize time and resources
  • Proficiency in business math

PREFERRED

  • Some college

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Utilize basic office equipment such as forms for quotes/contracts/invoicing, computer terminal, copy machines, ten key calculator and the telephone

·         Walk /stand for prolonged time on concrete floors

·         Safely climb on equipment in the shop and/or field

·         Able to see, hear, and feel machine condition indications

·         Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

·         Able to work long days as needed based on project and work load

·         Comply with all company safety requirements and wear all personal protective equipment when required
