Offboard Technology Administrator

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Offboard Technology Administrator, you will be seen as the subject expert for Product Link and will act as the company contact for equipment activation, application questions, training, data utilization, and best practices.  You will be the primary contact for all our connected assets, internal and external.  You will set up user accounts and equipment enrollments, troubleshoot, and provide training when needed. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage all Product Link activation requests
• Perform maintenance of equipment and customer accounts in VisionLink
• Provide customer fleet connectivity audits and consultations
• Lead Product Link/Visionlink training for customers, sales reps, and/or technicians

Additional Responsibilities:

• Field questions regarding Visionlink database & Parts.Cat.Com
• Facilitate API into 3^rd party platforms
• Administrative management of Dealer Services Portal que
• Manage stolen, missing or damaged assets portal
• Reconcile VisionLink subscription billing statements
• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should be able to comprehend and explain basic satellite/cellular communication and GPS technology. Good communication abilities will be essential for maintaining relationships with your customers and technicians. You should possess a sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to work both with a team and independently is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Computer/internet savvy.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate technical issues regarding machine health in easily understood terms to both internal and external customers.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to understand basic equipment operation and design.
• Ability to comprehend and explain satellite/cellular communication and GPS technology.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Prior experience with Product Link hardware and VisionLink software.
• Prior experience repairing heavy equipment.
• Familiarity in Microsoft Power BI.
