JOB SUMMARY: 
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside Ohio Peterbilt’s veteran sales team.
 
The Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience and real-world knowledge supporting Ohio Machinery Co.’s truck division, Ohio Peterbilt. This role includes developing and evaluating our new e-commerce website and helping maintain inventory values on the company website and other marketing platforms. Additionally, the intern will find significant value in reviewing new marketing opportunities for Ohio Peterbilt.
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Marketing, with a minimum of one year completed. 
  • Overall GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher. 
  • A letter of recommendation from an instructor. 
  • Prior experience in a professional setting. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). 
  • Entry-level experience using design-based software such as Photoshop, Canva, or similar. 
  • Experience using e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Squarespace, or similar. 
  • Passion for marketing and a creative mindset. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Helping strategize and create content for social media
  • Managing truck inventory on our Ohio Peterbilt website
  • Gather and report on analytics for our ads, website, and other tools.
  • Optimize SEO performance and review competitive opportunities.
  • Organize and prep content for our new e-commerce website.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the marketing department as needed. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills gained through a culminating report or presentation outlining contributions to marketing strategies, the actions taken, and the resulting outcomes. 
 
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, move occasionally, and sit for an extended period throughout their scheduled working time. The employee will be required to operate office equipment that requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including using a computer keyboard. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift, push, carry, move, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, and regular verbal communication to exchange information is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings, and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
