Job Description:
- Leverage market knowledge, industry trends, and valuation tools to provide pricing recommendations to the sales team and senior leadership for large used equipment acquisition opportunities.
- Provide global oversight of industry trends, key players, and opportunities, working together with the International Sales Manager to capture growth.
- Collaborate with sales and operations management teams to develop value-added solutions, including establishing and maintaining service standards, branding standards, and unique value propositions.
- Build a relationship network across global Caterpillar dealers.
- Maintain a portfolio of inventory and consignments that drive financial results, including revenue, turns, and gross profit.
- Provide market evaluations on prospective acquisitions, ensuring risk mitigation.
- Establish the disposition strategy, including asset financial performance at the time of valuation.
- Manage inventory balances and turns.
- Develop rebuild strategies leveraging data to understand regional equipment needs.
- Identify and develop key sources for used equipment, including Cat Financial and other financial institutions with equipment lease programs, other equipment resellers, and brokers.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience that combines industry knowledge with operational/marketing/sales experience, including an intimate understanding of Finning's customer base and industry.
- Post-secondary education in a management discipline preferred.
- Knowledge of the used equipment market with a focus on mining, customer wants/needs, and product valuation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strategic business planning, territory management, and account management.
- Ability to understand complex business problems, apply appropriate analysis, and make sound decisions, including negotiation skills.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to positively influence stakeholders at all levels.

- This position can be based out of either our Edmonton or Calgary office locations.
- Hybrid role.
- Permanent, full-time role.
