The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for producing financial reports and analysis to support Company business and specific departmental needs.

Wages

Starting wage for the Senior Financial Analyst will depend on experience and education. $82,482 - $123,442

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities ifor the Senir Financial Analyst nclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepare the following financial reports accurately and timely: monthly (Finance & Administration Expenses vs. budget and prior yr., bank fee analysis, captive insurance accounting, rental contract signature stats, dividend summary, unapplied credits, Accounting Dept. dashboard, company headcount report) and annual (CAT dealer principal forms, Retirement Plan Fee Analysis).

Assist with development of a monthly branch income statement analysis “template.” Commence preparing analysis for branches.

Create ad-hoc financial analysis in order to interpret complex business results in an easy to understand manner.

Assist Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis with the annual budget preparation.

Provide back-up for Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis by learning how to prepare the monthly Sr. Management Financial Package, Branch Trend Graphs and to manually run Cognos Sales Flash.

Assist with improving accuracy of accounting results through report creation and enhancement.

Assist management in the development of the financial function.

Maintain current and updated knowledge of accounting related technology systems used in the Company.

Provide guidance and advice to other accounting personnel and management on area of expertise.

Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in a business or related major. MBA or CPA desirable. Five to ten years relevant finance and/or accounting experience required. Strong Excel skills required. SQL experience helpful.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret highly technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
