RENTAL DISTRICT SALES SUPERVISOR

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Rental District Sales Supervisor in Winchester, Virginia.  The Rental District Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sales operations, managing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring the growth of rental business opportunities by coaching and developing Rental Sales Representatives within an assigned territory, leading achievement of all lead generation and customer growth and retention objectives through consistent execution of Rental Sales process, sales funnel management, sales goal setting and performance management, and account coverage.  The individual in this role will drive sales, ensure operational efficiency, and meet both district and company sales targets. Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years rental equipment industry experience. Direct sales experience. Previous supervisory or leadership experience within the rental or related industry preferred. Bachelor's degree (Business related field preferred). 

Requirements for the Rental District Sales Supervisor position include:

• Thorough understanding of rental products and services, including pricing models, contract terms, and customer requirements.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of rental products and services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and working with a sales team.

• Must be able to develop and implement sales strategies to increase rental.
• Must possess ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and new business.

• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work in a high volume and fast-paced work environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficient in CRM software, MSOffice, and sales reporting tools.
• Strong PC skills and the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology.

Physical requirements must be met for the Rental District Sales Supervisor job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
