Reporting into the IT Systems Engineering Lead, the IT Systems Engineer will join our IT Department on a full-time basis at our South Guildford office.

 

This role involves providing deep technical expertise to implement, operate, support, and maintain WesTrac’s operational IT infrastructure.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours per day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and ensure high availability of enterprise-wide virtualisation systems (e.g. vSphere, Hyper-V)
  • Administer, configure, and support enterprise shared business systems including storage, backups, monitoring, identity management, and messaging
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain M365 applications and the Azure environment, ensuring adherence to license management
  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for WesTrac’s Data Centres
  • Build and maintain IT infrastructure documentation, policies, and procedures including Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Provide internal expertise and support for Systems Engineering-related issues and helpdesk tickets

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience in the ICT industry
  • Experience with Azure, Hyper-V, and vSphere
  • Microsoft Azure and M365 certifications or working towards
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise systems and managing competing priorities
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to support knowledge sharing and training
  • Experience with DELL and Pure Storage systems (Desirable)
  • PowerShell scripting proficiency (Desirable)
  • Familiarity with NinjaOne, Zabbix monitoring tools (Desirable)
