Description

The Credit Analyst will ensure exposure and risk to Riggs Cat is limited by obtaining financial data for the use of maintaining records and making sound business decisions while assisting customer and Riggs personnel in facilitating the sale of our products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct research and analysis of routine financial and credit statements to determine credit worthiness of credit applications and set appropriate credit limits based on current policy
  • Enhance the overall cash flow of the company by collecting on open charge accounts in a timely manner while maintaining a professional relationship with the customer
  • Assist customers with outside sources of credit (primarily CAT Commercial Accounts) to obtain financing and other extensions of credit to facilitate the sale
  • Assist Credit Manager in the formulation and enforcement of credit/collection policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with managers and sales personnel and serve as a resource for financing and merchandising programs
  • Have a strong working knowledge of various governmental regulations related to credit, including tax regulations
  • Identify potential problem accounts and collecting these accounts using various tools/means of communication
  • Maintain and update customer records
  • Ad-Hoc projects as assigned


Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 2-4 years in similar role - collections experience desirable
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting
  • Technical skills in account reconciliation, credit extensions, payment plans, etc.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills, even in tough conversations
  • Bilingual is a plus!
