JOB SUMMARY:
This role supports Empire’s rebuild sales and quoting process and is responsible for working with Product Support Sales Representatives (PSSR), Client Solution Managers (CSM) and Account Managers (AM) to develop and maintain the rebuild process, resulting in profitable machine and component rebuilds. Implement Empire’s business plan for machine and rebuild sales as directed by the territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Inspect client machines with PSSR, AM, and other dealership personnel to determine the feasibility of the rebuild.
• Provide management with reporting on the machine and component rebuild business including current state and opportunities.
• Identify client needs, provide solutions, and maintain deadlines while ensuring client satisfaction and technician efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Aftermarket Sales Representatives (ASR) and service branches, to execute Aftermarket services effectively.
• Maintain active communication channels between sales, service, and operational teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Report on machine reliability and durability.
• Stay up to date on technology trends.
• Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
• Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Recommend sales strategies.
• Develops and maintains relationships with both internal employees and clients.
• Proficient in the use of the Product Tracking and Opportunity System (PTOS) and Quoting Systems.
• Proficient in the use of Sales Link, other industry-specific software tools, and the Caterpillar website to secure technical specifications and performance information of all Caterpillar products.
• Maintain an understanding of the merchandising programs and finance terms to be able to accurately quote over the phone or while meeting with a client or PSSR.
• Accepts, communicates and enforces company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Designs presentations for internal and external clients and be able to influence clients.
• Provides factual data to help drive change.
• Communicates planning and scheduling problems to management.
• Performs other duties as needed.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Must have in depth knowledge of machine wear and damage characteristics.
• Must have a working knowledge of the machine rebuild process and part/component reusability guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.
• Must have interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with people and to execute transactions.
• Must have effective and pleasant verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and report findings.
• Ability to effectively develop schedules covering multiple client visits across the territory to meet demand.
• Technical skills to work through product issues across the full range of the product line.
• Mechanical aptitude sufficient to relate to mechanical applications, failures, etc., and ability to communicate that information to others.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of parts, service, and sales operations.
• Must have organizational skills sufficient to plan, schedule, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to travel across the territory regularly.
• Computer skills to utilize Empire’s internal and external software programs.
• Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• A four-year college degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine rebuild or a related field or an equivalent technical background.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
