Technicians will have the opportunity to work both in shop and field environments to grow product and mechanical experience. You will be set up with dealer grade training and fully stocked field trucks with all the tools you need to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of Caterpillar equipment. This is a great opportunity to work on Caterpillar equipment!If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification with a valid driver’s license, then you are exactly who we are looking for!
Job Description:
- Responsible for the maintenance and overhaul work in the natural gas compression and EPG industry in the field.
- Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs, maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments.
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
- Journeyperson Certification in Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright and Automotive may also be considered
- Dedication to safety
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
- Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience will be preferred and recognized as an asset.
- Non-Caterpillar experience such as Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins etc is recognized as an asset.
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

- Travel may be occasionally required throughout Alberta
