Job Description:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day field service operations, ensuring technicians deliver high-quality work aligned with customer expectations and company standards.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing compliance with all safety policies, conducting audits, and promoting proactive safety practices.
  • Allocate technicians to service jobs based on skill, availability, and job requirements, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-job reviews to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure job scope is accurately followed.
  • Spend time in the field with technicians to provide guidance, verify work quality, and resolve technical challenges in real time.
  • Ensure all service documentation, including daily time sheets and service reports, is completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new technicians, ensuring they are equipped for success in the field.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Monitor and manage job binders and ensure all required documentation is submitted for review upon job completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing solutions that enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Caterpillar equipment or engines.
  • Proven leadership experience in a technical or field service environment.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills to guide teams and resolve issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Caterpillar systems: SIS, SIMSi, SIMS, DSN, and DPSS.
  • Solid understanding of Caterpillar processes including warranty, goodwill, and product health.
  • Familiarity with collective agreements and performance management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.
