Warehouse Supervisor
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Hose Shop Supervisor is responsible for leading day‑to‑day warehouse and hose production operations within our Parts Distribution Centre. You will oversee a team of approximately 25 warehouse operators and hose builders, ensuring safe operations, efficient production, high-quality standards, and excellent customer outcomes.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive safety, people engagement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, while working closely with key internal and external stakeholders.
Location: Guildford PDC
Roster: Mon – Fri 8.5 hours per day (including lunch break)
6am to 3pm
What you will do:
- Lead by example in safety, actively promoting and embedding a strong safety culture
- Supervise daily warehouse and hose production operations to meet quality, safety, and delivery targets
- Engage, coach, and mentor team members, including performance reviews and development planning
- Manage inventory, including WIP control and discrepancy investigations
- Plan and schedule labour and resources to align with fluctuating workloads
- Oversee hose production processes, tooling, and equipment performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Ensure high standards of customer service and on-time delivery
- Manage expenses and staffing resources in line with company policies and delegated authority
About You
You are a confident, people-focused leader with proven experience supervising warehouse or production teams in a fast-paced environment. You balance operational delivery with safety, quality, and team engagement.
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven experience (2–4 years) in a warehouse or distribution environment, with a strong understanding of end‑to‑end warehouse operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage a large operational team in a fast‑paced setting
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, proactively leading safe work practices
- Solid capability in warehouse processes, inventory control, and managing competing operational priorities
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to adapt in a changing environment
Desirable (but not essential):
- Forklift licence
- Experience using systems such as SAP, SCALE or DBS
- Knowledge of hydraulic hoses, machine parts, or tooling
- Exposure to continuous improvement or lean practices
