At William Adams, we’ve been backing our customers for nearly 100 years - and we know it’s our people who make the difference. Our culture isn’t just words on a page, we live it. We are customer obsessed, aligned and accountable, we recognise and appreciate, and we are caring and supportive.
We’re now looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team and help align our people strategy with business outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager and based in our Clayton head office, you’ll partner closely with leaders across the business to build capability, support performance, and deliver practical people solutions.
This is a hands-on role that flexes between strategic partnering and day-to-day delivery as the function continues to evolve. You’ll bring a commercial mindset, using data and insight to influence decisions and drive real impact.
A key focus will be strengthening employee engagement through initiatives such as recognition programs, employee surveys and D&I activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Provide coaching and practical advice to build leadership capability
• Support the full employee lifecycle across a diverse workforce
• Deliver and enhance engagement initiatives (surveys, recognition, D&I)
• Contribute to continuous improvement across People & Culture processes
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company policies
About You
You’re an experienced People & Culture professional who knows how to balance people outcomes with business needs.
• Experience in a generalist P&C/HR role, ideally within a blue and white collar environment
• Previous experience as a Senior Advisor or early-stage Business Partner
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application
• Data literate, with the ability to translate insights into action
• Confident influencing and building relationships at all levels
• Detail-oriented, responsive, and driven to deliver results
• Comfortable working with digital tools and improving processes
• Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management (essential)
