Over Road Truck Driver

DESCRIPTION:

Local CDL Driver, home daily.

Loads, unloads and drives semi-truck between branches, customer job sites, and /or parts depot.  Complies with DOT regulations and company safety practices; maintains truck in a safe and clean condition.

Compensation: up to $27.50 per hour        

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent


2. Must have Commercial Driver’s License


3. Must be able to read, understand and speak English


4. Good communication and telephone skills


5. Typing and basic PC user skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License


2. Positions equipment/components on trailer, making sure it is securely chained down, loads and unloads truck, using material handling equipment when necessary


3. Make minor mechanical repairs, if necessary, to equipment delivered to customer jobsite


4. Completes required daily logs, paperwork and records promptly, accurately and legibly


5. Maintains a valid Commercial Driver’s License in compliance with company and DOT regulations. Lifts parts and equipment components weighing no more than 50 pounds


6. Clean, maintain, refuel and check truck at end of each shift


7. Ability to work any work shift not regularly assigned in accordance with regular DOT guidelines as needed


8. Fills parts orders/Restocks incoming parts as directed


9. Follows all work and safety rules and procedures


10. Perform other duties as directed and assigned
