Plant Mechanic - Mining Components

Your new role as the Plant Mechanic for Mining Components will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

About Welshpool

The Mining Components workshop at Welshpool, WA, offers cost-effective repairs for Caterpillar equipment. We specialise in certified powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Location: Welshpool

Roster - 5Days On, 2Days Off - DAYS ONLY

What you'll do:

• Overhaul various Caterpillar components including engines, transmissions, differentials and final drives.
• Inspect and measure internal parts against reusability guidelines.
• Complete component overhauls in accordance with Caterpillar specifications and company procedures.
• Accurately complete inspection and quality control documentation.
• Actively participate in maintaining a safe and innovative workplace.

Skills & Experience:

• Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification 
• Experience working on mobile plant and components
• Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS) - desirable
• Dedication to a safe working environment and quality work for our customers
• Ability to work within a team & autonomously
