Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Monitor project costs and coordinate billing to initiate the invoicing process
- Meet with customers, contractors, engineers, and owners to discuss project requirements and logistics
- Assemble Operation and Maintenance documentation and other submittals as required.
- Review specification(s) to determine Ziegler Power Systems’ scope of responsibility (stated and/or implied)
- Assemble Technical Submittal information
- Order Caterpillar equipment and all non-CAT materials from suppliers and coordinate timely release and delivery
- Coordinate shop build-up of engine generator and delivery of equipment to job-site
- Coordinate with lead sales engineer to facilitate the design of the project. Work in a cooperative manner with internal and external resources (engineers, architects, contractors, owners, etc) to bring projects in on time and within the budget constraints on the project.
- Coordinate start-up procedures and documentation with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility company, and service technicians
- Communicate project information to the Product Support group
- Provide AutoCAD support for Caterpillar drawings
- Summarize project(s) status through department meetings and reports
Qualifications:
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree required; or a minimum of a 2-year college degree and 2+ years of project management work experience
- 1 year of Project management work experience is required or a minimum of some college course work in project management
- Clean driving record required
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat required
- Electrical Power, Electrician, Generator or Reciprocating Engine experience desired
