Job Description

Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Rental Coordinator at our Roseburg, OR location.

SUMMARY

This position performs customer service and administrative duties related to rental of equipment at Peterson locations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Answer telephones and process rental requests
  • Follow up with customers via phone to obtain information required to complete rental request.
  • Call on new and existing rental and lease prospects.
  • Write rental agreements
  • Perform customer’s credit checks and insurance availability
  • Accurately communicate equipment & attachment availability to internal and external customers,
  • Dispatch drivers and communication with vendors
  • Complete rental invoicing.
  • Create service call sheet to provide to shop.
  • Maintain a record of all unfilled (lost) rental requests.
  • Enter relevant customer activity in customer relationship management system.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of competitor’s practices and rental rates.
  • Maintain inventory control and security including frequent inventory counts using Imetrix barcode system.
  • Assist in the preparation of rental reports as assigned.
  • Foster customer relations to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Wear company provided uniform (shirt) when performing the above mentioned job functions
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates Degree from a fully accredited college; and a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in customer service, preferably in the equipment rental business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Must have working knowledge of equipment applications and transportation requirements.
