Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking to hire a Vendor Management Inventory Specialist at their Salt Lake City, UT location. Full-time benefited position. Keep safety first in all tasks while utilizing TRACK/Tyfoom. Provide customers with parts solutions while contributing to a positive and energetic environment. This role is responsible for assisting customers during VMI site visits, via phone, and email.

Provide customers with parts solutions while contributing to a positive and energetic environment. This role is responsible for assisting customers during VMI site visits, via phone, and email.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safety will be the first consideration in all tasks.
- Utilizing TRACK, Tyfoom, report any near misses, and correct any unsafe acts or conditions.
- Pre and post inspection on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment.
- Provide customers consultation and solutions that offer a positive customer experience.
- Provide VMI support to customers in hose/coupling, batteries, and GET.
- Support each segment of the company VMI for our Construction Industry customers with parts needs.
- Participate and complete training as required and/or available.
- Familiar with tooling require to build hoses.
- Proactively check VMI inventory to utilize stock orders and manage need by dates to avoid emergency fees and freight charges for VMI orders.
- Preform warehouse duties as required.
- Provide customer support for VMI customers.
- Advise the customer of additional related parts (e.g. gaskets/seals/hardware)
- Advise customer on substitution of part when replacement is not available.
- Proactively manage customer expectations related to VMI.
- Trouble shooting and maintaining VMI tooling for hose and coupling customers.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Use K-track to deliver parts orders to customer sites
- Program knowledge and daily use of DBS, WMS, Cat Inspect, HIS, SIS, PartsViz, etc.

- Understanding of Wheeler Machinery & vendor logistic networks.
- Clean driving record non-DOT position.
- DOT medical card required.
- Must be able to operate a forklift in a safe manner.
- Provide a world class customer expirience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training or background in customer service
- Knowledge or experience with batteries, and hose/coupling products and assembly.
