Talent Development Specialist
Job Summary:
Responsible for facilitating Holt's Values Based Leadership™ curriculum. This includes New Employee Experience, HDSI training classes, and workshop experiences. This position is intended to be an entry level steppingstone to Leadership Consultant 1. In addition to facilitating coursework, the individual will learn to provide introductory-level coaching services, develop curriculum, and provide other consulting services.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions:
- Delivers HDSI instructional curriculum in a manner consistent with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values
- Promotes and reinforces tools, lessons and processes taught in HDSI classes to ensure customer integration of critical VBL competencies
- Continually acquire new developmental and instructional skills essential for sustained, productive, and professional presentations
- Delivers on-boarding content for new hires
- Communicates learning event details, pre-work assignments, material printing, scheduling and/or course changes to Training Support Specialist
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with students, supervisors, ect.
- Develop coaching, consulting, and curriculum design competencies facilitated through customized learning plan (utilizing the Learn, Model, Teach, Measure methodology)
- Solicits feedback, analyzes information, and demonstrates sound decision-making/judgment skills
- Maintains confidentiality in alignment with VBL culture and organizational guidelines
- Works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Ability to consistently demonstrate effective verbal, written, and communication skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization

- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees and management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to include formal presentation skills
- Ability to consistently demonstrate effective planning and coordination skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a diversified team
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 or more years of training and/or HR experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Travel:
- Up to 20% travel, to include overnight stays, is to be expected
Physical Requirements:
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role regularly operates office equipment, including computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Work primarily performed in a professional office environment
- Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
