Manager Branch

Provides direction and leadership to the Branch Operations in coordination with related Division(s) management to ensure acceptable profitability, market share, and growth in support of Company strategy and goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree and/or Experience in accounting, finance, management, sales, marketing, economics, business or related fields
- Management/Supervision experience
- General knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and components and General knowledge of service and parts department operations
- Willingness to learn, be trained, and coach
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate with team members and customers
- Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs
- Highly self-directed
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
- Ability and willingness to function outside normal working hours
- Demonstrated ability to apply tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers and fellow employees
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate appropriate and timely market and performance data to Company and Branch management, evaluate effectiveness, take or recommend action to optimize results and realize continuous improvement
- Establish, communicate, and monitor appropriate market, financial, and process standards for Division operations
- Assist in developing Company strategic plans, goals, and objectives to ensure the profitability, growth, and continuance of the organization
- Develop and implement current and long range Division strategies, policies, procedures, plans, processes, and budgets to guide Division activities and ensure attainment of Company goals and objectives
- Assist in the annual Company Budget process for Branch
- Cooperate as requested with other organizational entities to ensure attainment of related goals and objectives
- Provide personnel selection and performance management counsel to management in related functional roles
- Maintain a high level of satisfaction among external and internal customers through personal and functional contact and timely action
- Represent the Company to customers, suppliers, the community, the industry, and governmental entities in an effective, principled manner; should be personally involved in the community and encourage employees to be involved in the community
- Manage, Supervise, and Oversee the Branch Operations
- Supervise, train and evaluate staff; maintain high quality work force
- Work with employees to set aggressive professional and achievable goals to enhance the employees performance
- Use coaching techniques to recognize employees’ accomplishments and strengths and to improve any other areas
- Evaluate employee performance on a regular basis and prepare the related Position Descriptions, Performance Appraisals, and salary administration
- Ensure all staff follow company and departmental standards and practices and take disciplinary action when required
- Perform other duties as necessary and/or assigned
