PSD Field Service Technician - Power Systems Division

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, PSD Field Service Technician position available at our Corpus Christi, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM,  occasional weekends. Must be on-call two weeks out of the month.  Some daily travel will be required within a 150-mile radius. 

Job Description :

This position is responsible for providing troubleshooting and high-quality repair service on power generation, gas, and diesel engines, and ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) to respond to customer needs in a positive, safe, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:

• At least 2 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of Electrical Power and Generator experience required.
• At least 2 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of Gas and Diesel Engine experience required.
• At least 2 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and employees in a professional manner.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, occasional Saturdays, and must be able to be on call.   
• Power Generation Mechanic Certification is highly desired.
• Need a clean and valid driver's license.
