Financial Services Manager
Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading, overseeing and optimizing collections within Holt Group. Additionally, the Financial Services Manager is responsible for maintaining a strong DSO and mitigating losses while delivering Legendary Customer Service to internal and external customers.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

Essential Functions:
• Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
• Leads and develops team members in alignment with Holt’s values and provides team with the training, tools and resources needed to be successful
• Monitors aging, DSO and cash flow to identify gaps, drive strategy execution and improve overall performance
• Establishes and monitors key performance indicators, goals and processes to improve collector performance and collections efficiency
• Assigns, delegates, and coordinates work to ensure department objectives are met
• Provides detailed and accurate reports regularly and presents topics to team members, peers, and leadership as needed
• Collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve processes and achieve enterprise and departmental goals
• Builds strong working relationships with the sales/operations teams and conduct/attend meetings regularly to improve alignment and partnership
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting and billing procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of the State of Texas requirements and guidelines for filing Mechanic Liens
• Advanced proficiency in PC software and Microsoft 365 (ex. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability go to root causes of problems to take corrective and preventive actions
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be accountable and follow through on commitments and act with a clear sense of ownership
• Ability to build and strengthen relationships through positive interactions within the team, our customers, and our vendors
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to stay focused on achieving targets, whether working independently or partnering with colleagues
• Must possess the ability to work well in teams and with colleagues at all levels throughout the organization
• Demonstrated expertise in managing day-to-day operations along with overseeing special projects
• Ability to read, write, listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business or comparable equivalent experience required
• Minimum three years of experience in commercial collections required
• Minimum three years of experience in a leadership role
• Experience in construction or equipment rental industry strongly preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, GETPAID, Billtrust and/or Salesforce preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and assigning work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
Physical Requirements:
• This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional standing, walking, and stooping
• Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
• This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and copy machines
Work Environment:
• This job is generally performed in a professional office environment.
• Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
