Parts Expeditor - Earthmoving

Position Summary

The Parts Expeditor is responsible for processing service department parts orders, working both independently and on a team. The individual in this position must be familiar with machinery including earthmoving equipment, on-highway trucks, and allied products. The Parts Expeditor will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Process and order parts for technicians to use on work orders
  • Generate purchase orders for service department
  • Order supplies for the service department, shop supplies and safety supplies
  • Effectively communicate with service department personnel to address customer needs
  • Monitor the statuses of service orders on backorder and provide updates

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience using personal computers including Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Basic typing skills are required for this position.
  • Must possess or demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire the following required skills and competencies:

Skills and Competencies

  • Telephone, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Microsoft 365
  • Strong technical/ equipment repair skills

Job Training

  • Microsoft Office
  • ERP System
  • Compliance training

Safety Summary

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office environment. Some work may be required in the warehouse from time to time, or handling parts issues in the service shop.
  • Steel toe shoes are required
  • Non-prescription safety glasses and other PPE will be provided by TTCO
