Hydraulics Product & CVA Manager
Position Summary
The Hydraulics (Hose and Coupling, Cylinders, Pumps & Motors) & CVA (Customer Value Agreement) Product Manager is responsible for maximizing the sale of hydraulic, fluids and filter parts and service to customers throughout the Thompson Tractor territory. This role will provide specialized knowledge, marketing, and sales support for Thompson Tractor personnel. It will also work across the organization to execute on CVA growth strategies, develop promotional offers, and go to market strategies. Individual sales objectives must be met while working with customers to manage their hydraulic parts to maintain the lowest possible cost per hour. The ability to communicate the value of purchasing premium parts and service in a price sensitive market is necessary. The Hydraulics & CVA Product Manager will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.
Essential Responsibilities and Expectations
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for the assigned products (Hose & Coupling, Cylinders, Pumps and Motors, Customer Value Agreements, Fluids & Filters)
- Assist MSRs, PSSRs, and CSRs in marketing/selling the assigned products
- Evaluate training needs for PSSR’s and make recommendations for in-house or outside training programs regarding hydraulic, fluids & filters, and CVA products
- Work with the marketing department to develop and implement a promotional plan for each assigned product
- Work with Parts Operations to ensure proper execution of inventory programs by having the correct inventory and applicable parts or service discounts
- Provide technical expertise for the assigned products
- Monitor and report product performance and competitive activity
- Provide liaison support between customer, TTCO, and Caterpillar
- Establish and maintain personal working relationships with customers
- Work with PSSRs to ensure full utilization of TTCo hydraulic & CVA offerings
- Work with Caterpillar ASR and CAT product groups to utilize all national and OTO programs to their fullest.
- Identify candidate customer sites for Job Site Solutions (All Makes/All Models).
- Provide up to date tooling and resources.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or the equivalent

Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a Service Department shop office or shop environment. Exposure to physical risk and all-weather conditions is associated with this position. Standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time is often required.
