About the Role
We’re looking for a Trades Assistant to join our Cat Rentals team in Dandenong, supporting our technicians with repairs and day-to-day workshop operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who’s had some exposure to a workshop or mechanical environment and is keen to build their skills further.
In this role, you will:
• Help with strip downs, cleaning and basic inspections
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
• Prepare tools, parts and materials for upcoming jobs
• Assist Technicians with repairs, rebuilds and component work
• Complete job-related paperwork and follow processes
• Providing quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
About You
You’re someone who’s not afraid of hard work, enjoys being hands-on, and wants to build a career in the mobile plant industry.
We’re looking for:
• Some workshop or mechanical experience (automotive, heavy equipment or similar)
• Basic skills using hand and power tools
• Driver’s licence and reliable transport
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• A strong focus on safety
