About the Role
Our Cat Rental team currently have a permanent full-time vacancy for a highly motivated Trades Assistant. Working as part of a small team, this position offers the opportunity to join an exciting part of the business and gain experience in supporting Caterpillar equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the service department with managing and maintaining contamination control and workshop cleanliness to provide a safe and efficient work environment
• Organisation of the yard and equipment
• Washing and inspecting equipment prior and post hire for customers
• Completing required administrative tasks accurately and effectively
• Always providing quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting the service departments to maximise productivity.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
• A genuine interest in working in the heavy equipment industry
• Experience in manual handling
• Ability to use smart phone/tablet and relevant apps
• The ability and desire to provide excellent customer service
• Good communication skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
• The ability to be self-motivated and work well in a team
• Proven ability to work unsupervised
• A strong focus on safety
