JOB SUMMARY:
Provide managerial and operational support and leadership for the development of Rental Store Managers for one or multiple Cat® Rental Stores; Work with General Manager – Rental Operations to create and implement policies and procedures to continually improve efficiencies in the rental process; Provide daily support to Rental Managers, rental coordinators, rental/sales reps, credit department, and other personnel by way of branch visits, email and/or telephone; Obtain fleet time utilization of 70%; Obtain overall financial utilization of: a) CAT Equipment = 30%-Allied Equipment = 35%; Be sure all policies, procedures and processes are being followed at the branch level; Conduct quarterly staff meetings; Focus on result-oriented issues; Work with Rental Store Managers and Product Support to reduce Time to Ready by spending time in the yard reviewing rental units needing repairs and units that are acceptable to go to the Rent Ready Line; Review Damages with Rental Branch Manager weekly
Audits of each location will be conducted semi-annually utilizing the Operational Audit Form (signatures, reservations, safety, etc.); Review Rental Store Manager yard audits completed in Inspect monthly and discuss results with Rental Store Managers and Product Support; Visitation of each location is expected 3 times per month; Travel to all rental locations will be required; Overnight stays as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree, formal college training.
- Five years of experience in the rental industry or equivalent experience in a closely related industry.
- Closely related industries would include construction, engineering, and equipment distribution.
- Ability to organize and deliver basic rental training on products, operations, sales, service and systems.
- Assessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting on the performance of each store.
- Retail sales experience, customer relations would be beneficial.
- Experience and understanding of the start-up procedures necessary for a rental store, as well as, working knowledge of the operations, sales, service, and systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
