Description

 Position Summary

This position is responsible for building and maintaining the analytical models, decision tools, and data systems that provide leadership with timely visibility into business performance and risk for strategic accounts. The role translates customer demand, supplier capacities, allocation (MRP) decisions, execution constraints, and financial inputs into actionable plans, forecasts, and risk signals that support rapid, high-quality decision-making.

The Sr. Analyst – EPG Strategic Operations owns the development of modern tools and workflows (dashboards, automated pipelines, scenario models, and agent-enabled decision systems) that make risk visible before it becomes customer impact. This role partners across Strategic Accounts, Supply Chain/Supplier Quality, Engineering, Project/Field Operations, and Finance to ensure decision data is accurate, traceable, and trusted.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Demand, Capacity, and Allocation (MRP) Decision Support

  • Analyze customer demand and supplier capacity to identify constraints, gaps, and feasible execution paths.
  • Develop and maintain allocation logic outputs (MRP views) that translate constraints into clear decisions and exceptions.
  • Produce scenario analyses (what-if) to evaluate demand changes, capacity changes, and constraint tradeoffs.
  • Create and maintain traceability from demand intake through allocation outputs to enable auditability and leadership confidence.

Financial Forecasting & Impact Modeling

  • Develop financial impact models that translate allocation and execution decisions into revenue timing, profitability, and cost-to-serve implications.
  • Support rolling forecasts and sensitivity analyses based on operational plans and scenario changes.
  • Reconcile key analytical outputs to source systems when required (e.g., ensuring consistency and completeness for leadership reporting).
  • Maintain documented assumptions, model logic, and audit trails for repeatable forecasting processes.

Business Risk Visibility & Management

  • Identify, quantify, and communicate near-term and forward-looking business risks related to demand volatility, supplier constraints, capacity shortfalls, and execution feasibility.
  • Build risk dashboards and leading indicators (thresholds, alerts, exception views) that show ‘healthy vs. at-risk’ conditions at any point in time.
  • Partner with leadership to define risk criteria, escalation triggers, and standard responses for common risk categories.
  • Track risk mitigation actions and outcomes to reduce repeat issues and improve forecast accuracy over time.

Tooling, Automation, and Agent Suite Development

  • Build and maintain modern analytics tools (dashboards, automated data pipelines, decision workflows) that reduce manual effort and improve decision speed.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of decision-support agents/workflows that guide users through demand validation, capacity analysis, allocation (MRP), and risk reporting.
  • Document data flows, business rules, and decision logic to enable repeatability and onboarding.
  • Continuously improve tools and processes based on user feedback, operational changes, and scaling needs.

Data Integrity, Definitions, and Governance

  • Define and maintain consistent data definitions, business rules, and calculation logic for demand, capacity, allocation, and financial metrics.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across sources.
  • Coordinate with IT/data stakeholders as needed to improve data availability, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Ensure sensitive or restricted information is handled appropriately and shared through approved channels.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No formal responsibility for supervising others

Position Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, operations/supply chain analysis, financial modeling/forecasting, or equivalent decision-support roles.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and SharePoint/Teams-based workflows.
  • Experience building automation or Python-based analytical tools for operational decision systems.
  • Experience with forecasting disciplines including documented assumptions, audit trails, and reconciliation to source systems.
  • Experience in capacity planning, MRP/operations planning, or supplier capacity management.
  • Experience in environments with complex constraints and low tolerance for execution failures (e.g., strategic accounts, mission-critical operations).
  • Lean / continuous improvement training or demonstrated process improvement outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop models, dashboards, and repeatable analytical processes that support business decisions.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and data querying (e.g., SQL) with the ability to learn internal systems quickly.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured requirements, models, and tool outputs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present risks and tradeoffs clearly to leadership.
  • Systems thinking: ability to understand how demand, capacity, allocation decisions, and execution outcomes interact.
  • Risk orientation: ability to identify leading indicators and communicate ‘healthy vs. at-risk’ conditions.
  • Analytical rigor: ability to work with large datasets, validate assumptions, and reconcile to sources when needed.
  • Tool building: ability to design and maintain modern tools/workflows that reduce manual effort and improve decision speed.
  • Process discipline: ability to document logic, definitions, and procedures to ensure repeatability and auditability.
  • Collaboration: ability to influence across functions without direct authority and build trusted working relationships.

Other Requirements of Position

  • Works under limited supervision; independently determines approach and methods.
  • Handles sensitive business information with discretion.
  • Maintains documentation and auditability of models and outputs used for leadership decisions.

The duties and responsibilities outlined in this posting are not exhaustive and may evolve based on business needs.
