Shop Technician - Ag/Construction - $5000 signing bonus

Ziegler CAT has an Ag/Construction Technician position working on Caterpillar heavy construction and ag equipment. We are looking for a dedicated mechanic with excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic skills and a sense of urgency at our Crookston branch. Hours: M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm. Position is offering a $5000 signing bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment including compactors, excavators, loaders, dozers, and other heavy construction equipment, compact equipment, aerial equipment and paving equipment; as well as ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment

• Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards

• Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs

• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge

Qualifications:

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience

• 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience is preferred

• Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus

• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members

• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems

• Own mechanic tool set

• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

• This role is deemed safety sensitive and requires the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
