WHAT WILL YOU DO
The Energy Systems Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing the preparation, installation, commissioning, and support of power generation systems. This role requires strong on-site project leadership, coordination with internal teams and vendors, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  
Oversee installation and commissioning of generator and power systems equipment 
Coordinate with sales, vendors, and internal teams to support project execution 
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements 
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and post-installation 
Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle 
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with budget expectations

Basic Qualifications:
Technical background in power systems, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred 
Experience managing field-based projects and installation activities 
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills 
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred 
Equivalent combination of education, technical training, or military experience will be considered 
5+ years of experience in project management, field service, or power systems installation preferred 
Prior experience with generator systems, electrical power distribution, or similar equipment strongly preferred 
Experience managing field-based projects with multiple stakeholders and job sites
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Company vehicle provided for travel to job sites to support project oversight and generator installations
Regular travel required to supervise pre-work and on-site operations across multiple locations
Minimum annual usage of 15,000 miles expected to support active project management responsibilities
Consistent on-site presence required to ensure installation quality and adherence to standard
