Chief Financial Officer

Directs the company’s financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationships with financial institutions, and OEM finance groups.  Responsible for the oversight of all accounting systems, internal controls, financial reporting (including tax and audit), treasury and risk management.  Serves as liaison to the finance staff of related companies (subsidiary and affiliates) providing direction and insights on financial planning and reporting as well as capital raising activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, financial forecasting, credit, and risk management (insurance) activities of the company.
  • Coordinates tax reporting of the company and related (outside) investments with external professional firms.
  • Compiles and analyzes reports on economic and business activity, and financial market conditions that can impact the company’s results or prospects.
  • Directs financial/compliance reporting to lenders and OEM partners.
  • Ensures accounting and IT systems are adequate and support timely and accurate transaction recording and financial reporting.
  • Responsible for the issuance of all financial statements including the annual report.
  • Participates in the review of profit-sharing and 401(k) plan investment results and makes recommendations to third party investment managers.
  • Analyzes comparable company benchmarking data to forecast the impact of potential strategic initiatives or process changes in relation to peer results. 
  • Evaluates business expansion, partnering and M&A opportunities. 
  • Directs all banking and capital raising activities.
  • Oversees credit department responsible for customer credit and third-party loan origination activities.
  • Manages relationships with external legal teams.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related field from a four-year college or university.  Ten years of experience in a combination of public and private accounting or finance roles is required.  Capital raising and M&A transaction experience is expected.  CPA certification is preferred.  MBA degree is desirable.

Compensation for this position will be commensurate with candidate experience and background.
