 Construction Sales Professional Responsibilities:

  • Builds strong relationships with customers focusing on long term mutual growth.
  • Promotes new and used heavy line products to customers as well as used competitor brands in stock.
  • Responsible for territory management and recording activities promptly into CRM on a weekly basis.
  • Completes and processes all sales, finance and rental documentation.
  • Delivers and demonstrates equipment to customers.
  • Manages an account base in an assigned territory. 
  • Attends and works at trade shows.
  • Appraises used equipment.
  • Forecasts annual territory sales.
  • Promotes the sale of Cat parts and service to all customers.
  • Maintains accurate customer information in the customer account and machine population database.
  • Participates in training and obtains required certifications as requested.
  • Assists parts and service as needed. 
  • Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Construction Sales Professional Qualifications: 

  • Sales training and experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and equipment financing
  • Experience with governmental bidding process – State and County agencies
  • Mining equipment and site experience
  • Sales experience with proven closing skills are preferred.  
  • This position requires excellent customer service skills with experience in construction equipment beneficial.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential.  
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills will be important for the success of this position. 
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal are a must.
