Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Filter Analyst who is responsible for cutting/disassembly, analysis and interpretation of filters delivered to the Fluids Lab, as well as collaboration on filter debris analysis results with internal and external customers.
Using provided tools, remove canister from used oil filters to access internal media for interpretation.
Perform initial interpretation and analysis of filter debris and magnetic plug debris using magnifying lens, microscope, magnet, and other equipment necessary.
Photograph, catalog, and accurately document filter debris findings as it pertains to quantity and type of debris/contamination.
Regularly communicate with Equipment Analysts and peers within the Fluid Analysis lab to review analysis results and develop/improve best practices.
Participate in training as needed to develop filter analysis and interpretation skills.
Regular collaboration with manager and team members.
High School Diploma required.
Experience in a technical environment and familiarity with associated safety guidelines required.
Basic computer skills required including familiarization with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment.
Ability to multi-task without compromising the integrity of work performed is required.
Performs other duties as assigned/required.
