This opening is intended to be a Full time position.
Conduct customer operator training and orientation classes.
Coordinate and instruct operator maintenance classes.
Develop and conduct equipment safety training for company and customer employees.
Conduct pre-delivery and end of warranty inspections on equipment.
Administer and maintain the training resource library.
Inspect machines as potential trades for sales.
Prepare and develop technical and non-technical training material.
Evaluate customer operator training needs.
Attend factory and regional training classes for professional development.
Advise the company and customers concerning problems in areas including, but not limited to, operator techniques, equipment application, maintenance procedures and equipment safety, providing written reports to clients as may be requested.
Provide a challenging environment that encourages self-development.
Other duties as assigned.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety regulations. Use all safety equipment when necessary. Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
Assist sales department, clients and CATERPILLAR with Production Studies on customer job sites.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge to design and conduct operator, maintenance and safety classes.
Knowledge to analyze and interpret operator and equipment systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of the operation and application of Caterpillar service operations and maintenance procedures.
Technical schooling preferred.
Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point Programs as well as various CATERPILLAR-sourced software to assist in training and machine production analysis
Conducts all new machine orientations for the customer in the assigned areas.
Performs required end of warranty inspections by the end of the month the inspection is due.
Effectively participates as part of team, assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.
Achieves customer focus by delivering high quality, cost effective service.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent. Some college preferred, or five (5) years related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the job function.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct customer contact in training, parts, service, sales or rental business. CATERPILLAR Machine operational experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Office environment with exposure to shop and warehouse environment.
Frequent visits to job site with exposure to adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, dirt and noise.
Valid Nevada Driver License with an acceptable record.
Must be willing to work in an Underground environment
