This position is a key support person in a large parts department with multiple counter people and warehouse personnel. They provide computer and admin support to the operation of the parts department. This includes helping customers, assisting with inventory ordering, control functions, and backorder management/ expediting. They work closely with other parts staff and directly with customers, technicians, and other department staff members that depend on the parts department to provide needed material in a timely manner. They also work with Caterpillar and other vendor staff that supply parts to Altorfer.
This position works in an Office and Warehouse environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate to low and the noise level in the warehouse is usually moderate to high. Applicant must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
