The Technical Quoter has primary responsibility for the quoting processes for Quinn Power Systems Retail Division bid specification business activity within Quinn’s Central and Southern California assigned fifteen county territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Receives and processes direct requests for quotes from Quinn Power Systems (QPS) sales representatives
•Administers sales orders, related sales documents, quotes, project details, etc within Quinn’s systems
•Collaborate on job scopes and quotes with Quinn Sales Reps, utilizing Quinn systems, to ensure inclusion of 3rd party vendor and internal costs for parts & labor; ensuring internal and external expectations are met
•Maintain a working knowledge of Quinn’s customer and markets by staying up-to-date on product knowledge, including but not limited to Diesel, Natural Gas and Propane generator sets and their application to a range of Quinn customers; small & large businesses, high end residential, and essential infrastructure support systems & lifelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must possess a minimum of four years within an Administrative, Electrical Power Generation (EPG), Marine, Industrial, or equivalent trades combination of technical training, schooling, or experience as deemed equivalent by management, with a high school diploma, or equivalent. Advanced business, technical trades certifications, or degrees are a plus.
Must possess technical background knowledge of the Caterpillar and competitor product lines within the commercial engine market. Soft skills proficiency within: Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Internet applications. Maintain the ability to manage, organize, plan, and delegate specific courses of action through until completion to achieve assigned objectives and business unit mandates.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain a valid California driver’s license in good standing. Must be able to travel for on-site customer visits, training and company meetings.
